Toledo Review
May 21, 2007

Rob Bunker’s weekend was short lived when a misfortune on lap 115 relegated the #4 Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger to a 32nd place finish in the Hantz Group 200. Cunningham Motorsports is a Dodge Development driver team and Rob has made a lot of progress since the beginning of the year. The weekend was filled with its share of thrills and Rob was none too happy with the outcome. The Cunningham Motorsports Team was on track for a good finish until an impatient competitor took it upon himself to push Bunker aside which created havoc for the whole team and put the #4 Dodge Motorsports Dodge Charger in the garage.

"I feel bad for all the guys that work so hard day in and day out on this team."

“I came to Toledo hoping to get a few more laps in but unfortunately, we got caught up in someone else’s mess. We had a good practice and were off to a pretty good start this weekend. The team gave me a good car and I was really happy with the last run. The car was comfortable and I could pass with ease. Toward the end of the last run before our bad luck incident, the car was having a problem turning and I think something could have broken leading to a compound of problems. I feel bad for all the guys that work so hard day in and day out on this team. I know that they prepare these cars with a lot of heart and I just wish I could have brought the car home with a top ten finish and all the sheet metal still in place. I will get another test in and look forward to the next event. I appreciate everything that Kerry Scherer and Mark Gibson do to insure that I get good equipment. I know we will get things turned around soon,” said Bunker.

From Toledo, the ARCA RE/MAX Series takes a Memorial Day Weekend break but is back in action on Saturday, June 2, 2007 for the Prairie Meadows 250 at Iowa Speedway LIVE on SPEED at 9:00 pm Eastern. Bryan Clauson, will be attempting to put the #4 Dodge Charger in victory lane.

Rob’s next ARCA RE/MAX Series race is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th at the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Pennsylvania. Tune in to SPEED Channel’s same-day delayed broadcast from Long Pond of the Pocono 200, beginning at 8:00 pm Eastern.
