Pocono Preview
Jun 07, 2007

Rob Bunker has done a lot of preparation for the upcoming event this weekend at Pocono in the Pocono 200. A standout in open wheel racing, Rob Bunker will be racing on a track which is more to his style of racing. Cunningham Motorsports and Rob are looking to make great strides this weekend racing on what is a “Road Course Oval”. This is a great opportunity for the entire team to rebound after some bad luck at the beginning of the year. Rob will be piloting the #21 Dodge Charger this weekend in conjunction with Jack Bowsher and associates.

"I really would like to make a good showing for this team because they work extremely hard in preparing these cars each week."

"We went to the track a week ago for testing and gained some pretty good knowledge on what we need to accomplish this weekend and what it takes to get around the track. The track will give me a lot more room to race. I hope to make some big strides this weekend. This is a road course type track, which I prefer. I really would like to make a good showing for this team because they work extremely hard in preparing these cars each week,” said Rob.

A full weekend of on-track activity is planned for the June Pocono event, with ARCA RE/MAX Series haulers scheduled to converge at the speedway on Thursday, June 7th from 4-6:00 pm. A practice session is scheduled for Friday, June 8th beginning at 10:15 am, with SIM Factory Pole Award Qualifying slated for 1:45 pm. The Pocono 200 kicks off Saturday afternoon, June 9th at 1:00 pm and will be televised same-day on SPEED at 8 pm Eastern.
