Dodge Continues as Official Pace Car of ARCA RE/MAX Series; New Dodge Drivers Develop Skills in the Series

Dodge, and the Dodge Charger, will continue their successful partnership with the ARCA RE/MAX Series for 2007, entering its second season as the Official Pace Vehicle of the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

Dodge and Ford tied for the manufacturers’ championship last season in the ARCA RE/MAX Series with 147 points. Steve Wallace led the way for Dodge in his Rusty Wallace, Inc. Dodge Charger. Wallace started eight races and recorded three victories and four poles. He also had seven top-10 finishes in eight starts.

Wallace plans to run a full schedule in the NASCAR Busch Series in 2007, but he will compete in selected ARCA RE/MAX Series races.

Four drivers will team to drive the No. 4 Cunningham Motorsports Dodge Charger in 2007 for owner Kerry Scherer. Led by Scott Lagasse Jr., the Dodge Development Program team will also put Tim Andrews, Robert Bunker and Ray Mooi behind the wheel throughout the season. Cunningham Motorsports will also field a second car in selected races with ARCA RE/MAX veteran Mark Gibson running the show.

Erin Crocker will return to ARCA RE/MAX action in 2007, driving the No. 98 Evernham Motorsports Dodge Charger. In 12 previous ARCA RE/MAX starts entering 2007, Crocker has three poles and two runner-up finishes. Other ARCA RE/MAX drivers expected to compete in Dodge Chargers in 2007 include Damon Lusk, Justin South, Ryan Howard and Justin Marks.
